Before we learn your story, here's ours...
Whilst looking for our own wedding photographer, we knew we wanted someone who would make us feel comfortable (both of us prefer to be behind the camera than in front of it!). A natural, relaxed style was something we searched for from the beginning. This is what we aim to bring to our couples: authentic and unobtrusive images. We love catching moments that are a true reflection of your day - those big smiles, belly laughs, and incredible dance moves!
As a husband and wife team, it means you get both of us for your day with no extra cost implications for wanting two photographers. Our hybrid packages remove the need for additional crew to cover both photo and video elements, saving you money and more importantly the stress of your photographer accidentally wandering in front of your videographer during the first kiss!
We know each other pretty well, but here's a few things about us so you can get to know us too!
What do you enjoy most about photography?
Lexi - I love shooting in a candid style to capture those little moments that otherwise get missed. Also trying out some new ideas with our couples who like to pose!
Jamie - I like using light to our advantage, I like experimenting with lenses, composition and compression - lots of things!
Summer or Winter?
Lexi - Winter, definitely.
Jamie - Summer, love that light!
Favourite part of a wedding day?
Lexi - Sneaking the newlyweds off for couple photos, it’s always so nice for them to spend some time with each other away from guests for a while!
Jamie - I like the atmosphere in the mornings when everyone is getting ready and you can feel all the nerves and excitement.
Early bird or Night owl?
Lexi - I'm an early bird, 9pm bed time is the one.
Jamie - Night owl, don’t wake me before 11am!
Photo or Video?
Lexi - Photo, but I do love video so that’s hard.
Jamie - Easy one - video.
Anything on your kit wishlist?
Lexi - Canon RF 85mm f1.2 lens, please.
Jamie - Amaran 300c - a light, of course!
Favourite wedding/photography trend?
Lexi - First looks, absolutely love these!
Jamie - I’m a big fan of open shutter movement while the couple are standing still.
Sweet or Savoury?
Lexi - Savoury, bring on the cheese.
Jamie - Sweet ALWAYS.
Most memorable wedding moment so far?
Lexi - The speeches at a destination wedding we did in 2022 - the Father of the Bride’s speech made me cry, and the Best Man and Maid of Honour wrote lyrics for the bride and groom to the song ‘Everybody’ by the Backstreet Boys, genius!
Jamie - We shot a wedding at Peterborough Cathedral and the couple had a brass band as well as the choir and the combination was incredible! They were all so, so talented.
